GOLDEN DRAGON AT FOXWOODS

The Golden Dragon Restaurant, a spectacular dining venue at Foxwoods Grand Pequot Resort Casino, was an ingenious conceptual and creative effort.  The innovative design team of ZDS Architecture and Interior Design led by Robert Macaruso, Interior Design Director and Associate, has artistically embodied Chinese cultural motifs, subtle Mashantucket Pequot Tribal references and stunning architectural detail in a dramatic blend. Samuelson Furniture was proudly selected to develop and execute unique furnishings with our artisan skills and high quality craftsmanship.

 A theatrical entrance to the Golden Dragon invites one to an immersive and inspired culinary experience.  Guests are received within a lavish, pagoda style entryway.  Adorned with elements of rattan and sculpted dragon scales from above, a remarkable wall screen behind the host station is a stunning focal point.  Creatively designed with chinoiserie wall covering, layered panels of reflective brass and mirror, Samuelson crafted this statement piece to meet intricate design specifications.

Elevated concepts are carried throughout the themed, 115-seat restaurant with the of comfort of modern banquette seating of various shapes, contemporary dining chairs and richly finished tables.  An infusion of rattan caning as a distinctive and operable shelving element of a banquette system offers display of Chinese art and decorative privacy.

 Prominent smokey antiqued mirrors with dragon talon accents are strategically placed.  We gratefully collaborated with ZDS in these creative achievements.
