HYATT REGENCY ROCHESTER

Design: KMCA Design
Purchasing: Neil Locke & Associates

As the seventh tallest building in Rochester, the centrally located Hyatt Regency commands attention. The Genesee River views and upscale ambience make it a prefect venue for Samuelson.

Head for The Bed

Enter the room and be impressed with a most striking headboard, unique in both design and finish. A dark walnut frame surrounds an upholstered inset detail comprised of 13 individual panels with solid wood dividers, creating a beautiful pattern on the piece. Two wall panels that incorporate cantilevered nightstands flank this upholstered section.

Cantilever nightstands offer the benefit of a suspended bedside table without the footprint. Unsupported by a typical base or leg detail, this design provides a floating concept. Being in a hospitality environment, these products are going to be sat upon, used as leverage to get in and out of the bed and generally abused in ways that you wouldn’t encounter in a residential setting. Cantilever nightstands, jetting right off the wall, require proper engineering. Samuelson puts them to the safety test, demonstrating our assurance that they will not deflect under the full weight of a grown man!

Data ports with a duplex outlet and USB charger are conveniently located in each panel above the nightstands with additional accommodations for reading lights. The platform bed base includes a recessed plinth, upholstered rails to match the headboard, and the durability required to withstand a hospitality environment.

Everything In Its Place

The desk / dresser / TV panel units are finished in the same beautiful Walnut with metal legs and cross stretchers. The twin drawer system is constructed of fully dovetailed drawer boxes with bottom mount slides and custom drawer pull hardware. The TV panel has been reinforced to carry the weight of the TV.

The wardrobe units are built with an open metal frame construction and wood componentry. Within is a pull out ironing board compartment, mini fridge, safe storage and luggage bench. Two LED overhead puck lights illuminate the piece.

Strength And Beauty

The end tables are stainless steel with cast resin tops. Both the base and the top of the round table are finished in a high gloss white Poly Urethane, giving the piece a “dipped, wet” look. They are as beautiful as they are strong!

The vanity bases are black stainless steel finished to withstand the high moisture environment of a bathroom. Walnut wood panels, wire brushed to give the wood a beautiful texture, are topped with caesar stone.

This example is one of the many reasons our customers come to us: our ability to not only build exceptional product, but have the experience and mindset to engineer pieces for their specific requirements.
