Sunkist Lobby

Ample glass, mirrors and LED lighting expose and reflect elements of the sea, sand and sunlight throughout the lobby of the W Fort Lauderdale. A perfect place to decompress, Samuelson has created banquette seating to accommodate and enhance this theme for group as well as more intimate conversation. Visitors are drawn in by the soft glow of LED lighting along their bases. A focal point is three circular, interlinked banquettes sitting upon a raised platform. Their wood backed, ceruse black and white finish is further accentuated by LED.  

Additional banquettes upholstered in white leather flank the glass walls for quiet drama. 

The W "WOW" Factor

Our Samuelson headboard with its its upholstered insert displays a stunning varied pattern of flat cut, open grain oak veneer with silver leaf finish that has been dry brushed and glazed for incredible amounts of depth and luster. Ambient LED lighting is revealed from surround of the headboard with subtle glow. Reading lights border on

either side.  

Supporting recessed bed platform and night stands are built into one structure providing the white lacquered drawer boxes a place to rest. When it comes to LEDs, we exclusively use the best product on the market.  We do that for a few reasons:

• We only want the very best going into our fine furniture.

• We use LED that is fully UL rated specifically for use in furniture. Why is this important? If an inferior LED product is used there is a serious risk of fire or other breakdown issues that can take place.

• The product in most of our applications is “plug & play,” meaning there is no cutting, splicing or soldering needed when installing our furniture. Simply plug it in and it is good to go!

Striking Appearance

Striking in appearance, the desk and mini-bar unit performs as a tabletop and desk, with white lacquer finish topped by 3/8” tempered glass. Beneath is mini-fridge storage, clad in a stainless steel custom finish. The supporting legs have been cast out of resin for the ultimate in stability, then expertly faux finished to match the oak headboard.

Round nesting metal drum tables have been hand made from stainless steel and custom finished with back painted glass tops to match the white lacquer desktops. The custom TV credenza has been built from Solid Oak with a corrugated detail created to match face and drawers of the cabinet. Custom shaper knifes were cut by hand at Samuelson factory from solid high-speed steel just for these doors.​This example is one of the many reasons our customers come to us: our ability to not only build exceptional product, but have the experience and mindset to engineer pieces for their specs.
